Sculptra in Rockville, MD

Sculptra for Gradual Facial Rejuvenation

Sculptra is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) treatment used in appropriate patients for selected facial wrinkles and contour deficiencies. Rather than creating an immediate finished result, Sculptra is planned for gradual change as the treated area responds over time.

At Shore MedSpa in Rockville, treatment begins with a face-to-face consultation. Your clinician will evaluate facial structure, skin quality, medical history, previous injectables, goals, and whether Sculptra or another option is the better fit.

What Sculptra May Help Improve

  • Gradual-looking improvement: Changes develop over time rather than appearing as an immediate final correction.
  • Facial contour support: Sculptra may be used for appropriate contour deficiencies and facial wrinkles after clinical assessment.
  • Personalized planning: Product placement and the treatment regimen are based on anatomy, history, and goals.
  • Non-surgical approach: Treatment is performed in the office without facial surgery.
  • Clinician-guided care: A trained practitioner provides preparation, injection, massage, and aftercare instructions.

How Sculptra Works and What to Expect

Sculptra is reconstituted and injected by a trained healthcare practitioner using a technique selected for the treatment area. Temporary fullness immediately afterward is partly related to the injected fluid and may subside before gradual changes become noticeable. Your clinician will determine whether more than one visit is appropriate.

Common short-term effects can include swelling, tenderness, redness, pain, or bruising at injection sites. Small bumps or nodules can occur, and rare but serious injection-related complications are possible. Follow the exact massage and aftercare directions provided at your appointment.

Sculptra Candidacy, Safety, and Aftercare

Sculptra should not be used in anyone with hypersensitivity to its components or a known history of, or susceptibility to, keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring. Treatment should be postponed in areas with active infection or inflammation.

Tell your clinician about medical conditions, medications and supplements, pregnancy or breastfeeding, prior fillers, dental work, allergies, and previous injection reactions. Sculptra must be administered by a properly trained practitioner. Results, recovery, and the number of sessions vary, and no outcome can be guaranteed.
